    This page is the index page to the History of Bodmin Moor.   It is intended to help Family and Local Historians doing research on the villages around the Moor

This site will go live in stages, but will be, for sometime, in a state of ‘under construction’ as each village is researched, photographed and uploaded.

Each village that goes live will (if possible) have at the very least:-

  • Links to other useful sites  on the  net (with  a link to  GENUKI, a very good starting point for genealogists)   
  • Pictures of the village, with if possible a photo of the Font, Altar and Church yard of the Parish church. (So that genealogists that cannot visit the Parish can see where their ancestors were Christened, Married or Buried).  
  • Old map(s) of the village. 
 The word village has been used, on this site, loosely as some of the places listed may be towns or hamlets.  If you are doing research on any of the places around Bodmin Moor then please join one of the eMail lists that have been set up.
